PAMUKKALE
Physio-chemical characteristics and indications.
The mineral-rich Pamukkale hot springs are composed of calcium-magnesium sulphate
and bicarbonate. They contain carbon dioxide and have a radioactive content of
1,537 picokuri/litre or 56 bekerel/litre). Water temperature is 36 to 38 oC with
a pH of 6. Total mineral content is 2,430 mg/lt. The waters are used both for
drinking and bathing. They, are recommended for the treatment of rheumatic, dermatological
and gynaecological diseases, neurological and physical exhaustion, digestive
maladies and nutrition disorders.
CAPPADOCIA
Nevsehir is the capital of the Cappadocia
region and is a perfect starting point
for extensively visiting the area. The
first settlements date back to 3000 BC;
its oldest name was "Nyssa." The city also has some interesting remains
from the Seljuk period, such as the castle which stands at the highest point
of the city. The Kursunlu Mosque has an impressive complex of buildings and a
medresse surrounding it which dates back to 1726. The museum displays a rich
collection of the local finds.Cappadocia is a land which seems to be a fantasy.

ISTANBUL
Istanbul is the only city in the world built on two continents which Fatih Sultan
Mehmet the Conqueror changed in his era. It stands on the shores of the uniquely
beautiful Bosphorus (Istanbul Bogazi) where the waters of the Black Sea combine
with those of The sea of Marmara and the Golden Horn. Istanbul is a province
designed to be the capital and it has been the capital of three empires which
used to dominate the world. Today the province houses the precious remains of
these civilizations and stands with all its glamour and mysticism as a harmonious
link between East and West, past and present, antique and modern.
ANTALYA
The Antalya Region, offering all the mysticism of past in our day, is now called
the "Turkish Riviera" due to its archaeological and natural beauties.
Antalya is the place where sea, sun, history and nature constitute a perfect
harmony and which also includes the most beautiful and clearest coast along the
Medditerranean. The city still preserves its importance as a centre throughout
history in the south coast of the country, in addition to its wonderful natural
beauties. The mythological city which housed the Gods and Goddesses now exhibits
all its secrets and marvels to mankind.
IZMIR
The 3rd largest, and one of the most beautiful provinces of Turkey is Izmir,
extending on the shores of an attractive bay, filled with ships and yachts. Backed
by mountains and facing the sea, this site offers a fine appearance, both with
its natural panorama and its modern and orderly view. Lovely palm trees decorate
the promenades and avenues, where new and impressive buildings stand.
Walking around this charming city, one can see a lot, ranging from the oldest
remains, to the most recent establishments scattered around.
KUSADASI
A lovely town, a popular port, and at the
same time, an attractive holiday resort,
is this "Bird Island" taking its name from the little "Dove Island" in
the harbor. Facing this islet covered with flowers, Kusadasi stands on the beautiful
shores of Aegean Sea, overlooking a bay of real fascination.The pretty beaches
along the deep blue sea will be the first to tempt newcomers with their scenic
view under the glittering sun. When wandering through the town, one will be pleased
a second time, by the modernity and high quality of the numerous accommodation
establishments and related with their many facilities.
CANAKKALE
The province of Canakkale lies on both sides of the Dardanelles which connects
the Sea of Marmara to the Aegean Sea. Its shores touch both Europe (with the
Gelibolu Peninsula) and Asia (with the Biga Peninsula) and there are ferries
here between the two sides. The well-equipped Canakkale Marina, besides those
of Karabiga, Gelibolu, Bozcaada and Kucukkuyu, hosts the colorful yachts which
pass through the strait and make a stopover at Canakkale, to see this historical
and mythological-rich area-homeland of many widely known legends. The province
has witnessed two very important battles in history. One of them is the mythological
war of Troy, which Homer immortalized in his Illiad. Archeological digs in Troy
(Truva) have proved that there had been nine separate periods of settlement.

BURSA
Known as "Green Bursa", this province stands on the lower slopes of
Uludag (Mount Olympos of Mysia, 2543 m). The title "Green" of Bursa
comes from its gardens and parks, and of course from its being in the middle
of an important fruit growing region. In Bursa there are things you should not
miss. First of all you are in the homeland of the delicious "Iskender Kebap".
The candied chestnuts are a specialty and have an unforgettable taste.
The peaches of Bursa are unique. As for something to purchase; Bursa is a center
of the silk trade and towel manufacturing. It is also the homeland of the very
famous Turkish folklore figures, Karagoz and Hacivat.
